Chamber of Commerce 

Established in September 2002, the American Chamber of Commerce of Suriname actively promotes commerce between Suriname and the United States (Suriname’s largest trading partner), disseminates information about business opportunities and other issues of interest to its members, and advocates forward-thinking policies affecting the private sector.

As of June 2009 Amcham has 46 members. Most are local companies that do business with the United States; all are strategically positioning themselves to seize even more opportunities in the era of globalization, the Caribbean Single Market Economy (CSME), and the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA).
