How do I use my visa?

The validity period of your visa and number of entries you are allowed are printed on the visa.  Visa holders present their valid visa and passport to an immigration inspector to apply for entry at a port of entry.  An immigration officer has the authority to grant or deny admission.  Applicants must be aware that a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States.  If the immigration officer allows entry, he/she will determine how long a person may temporarily remain in the United States.
