September 2009 Conference on Green Technologies

The attached announcement concerns a major international conference that will take place in the US in September 2009 related to sustainable building design, construction and operation ~ not just to save money, but also to meet stringent environmental standards, such as discharge limits, etc.  We ask that you publicize this conference in your countries and regions, and call it to the attention of laboratory operators, laboratory directors, architects, builders, and federal environmental and energy officials who are interested in green technologies.   

Laboratories for the 21st Century (Labs21) and the International

Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) are a body of professionals

who work to bring these new technologies and innovative ideas to the global community.  There is an ever-growing international presence at their annual conferences, and Lab 21 chapters can now be found in the UK and elsewhere.  Attendees will have an opportunity to meet and interact with the Labs21 community of laboratory architects, engineers, builders, owners, and other high-tech building professionals at the Laboratories for the 21st Century (Labs21®) 2009 Annual

Conference. The event, co-sponsored by I2SL, offers a forum for facility

professionals to discuss the challenges and trends in energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable high-tech facility development.
